WhatsApp has been innovating on new features of communication over chats ever since its inception. And these features continue to excite its users as the app itself. Besides its existing features that list emojis, camera features, animated GIFs and group chats, Whatsapp is up with a new way of expression- ‘WhatsApp stickers’.

These stickers come in different forms, from a smiling teacup to a broken heart through a gritting set of teeth. To begin with, WhatsApp is launching a sticker pack created by its designers and by artists from outside.

What more, the platform supports the addition of third-party sticker packs which would allow designers or developers around the world to add their stickers.

WhatsApp has created a set of APIs and interfaces to design ‘sticker apps’, that will allow developers to add stickers that can be used within WhatsApp both on Android and iOS platforms.

These sticker apps can be published like any other app in the Google play store or Apple app store. Users who download and install the app can start using these stickers within WhatsApp.

To use these stickers in your chat, you just need to tap on the new sticker button and select the sticker you want to share. You can add a new sticker by tapping the plus icon.
