Position Overview
We are looking for a Technical Architect / Associate Architect with around 10+ years of overall experience in developing and testing highly scalable software. The candidate should have expertise in designing and implementing complex solutions that stay scalable and maintainable in the long run, with sound knowledge of front end (React/Angular) and back end (Python/Node) technologies.
You will work across SOA, microservices and hybrid monolithic architectures, guide developers through new solutions and technologies, lead POCs, and own architecture documentation from HLD through to the estimates that follow from it.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement complex solutions that are scalable and maintainable in the long run.
- Design and develop SOA, microservices and hybrid monolithic architectures, and scale existing monolithic applications to services.
- Deploy applications with resilience as a first-class concern.
- Guide developers in implementing new solutions and technologies.
- Lead POCs, evaluate new technologies and recommend solutions.
- Implement code quality assurance tools and techniques.
- Design distributed, centralised, NoSQL, SQL and graph-based data models.
- Implement SSO and identity manager solutions.
- Produce and maintain HLD, LLD, DLD and SAD documentation.
- Analyse systems and share estimates based on the suggested architecture and technologies.
- Work within established software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
Required Skills
- Around 10+ years of overall experience in developing and testing highly scalable software.
- Sound knowledge of front end (React/Angular) and back end (Python/Node) technologies.
- Expertise in designing and implementing complex solutions that are scalable and maintainable in the long run.
- Experience in design and development of SOA, microservices and hybrid monolithic architectures.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in reactive architecture.
- Adequate experience in highly scalable, load-bearing, end-to-end application development.
- Experience in synchronous, asynchronous and event-driven service communication.
- Experience in distributed, centralised, NoSQL, SQL and graph-based database design.
- Experience with domain-driven development, test-driven development and behaviour-driven development.
- Experience in CQRS and CQS.
- Experience in container technologies and their orchestration.
- Knowledge of DevOps pipelines using on-prem and cloud.
- Experience with GCP, AWS, Azure and related technologies.
- Experience in scaling a monolithic application to microservices.
- Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
- Ability to analyse systems and share estimates based on the suggested architecture and technologies.
Good to Have
- Knowledge of data transformation tools and frameworks.
- Experience implementing SSO and identity manager solutions.
- PaaS and SaaS product development experience.
- Willingness to learn new technologies, lead POCs and suggest solutions.

Education
Bachelor's degree in engineering or an equivalent qualification, with 10+ years of experience in the IT software services industry.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a hands-on architect who moves comfortably between React/Angular front ends and Python/Node back ends, can choose between monolith, SOA and microservices based on the problem in front of them, and can carry a design from HLD through to estimates while mentoring the developers who build it.
