Technology is evolving continuously. New items are introduced, and upgrades are developed to provide enhanced performance and efficiency. These changes aim to make things all the more convenient and feasible for us. The upgrading of Windows 7 to Windows 10 by Microsoft is one such example.

A lot of our professional work depends on Microsoft and Windows, and thus the developers in Microsoft are always on the lookout for ways via which they can offer optimal performance to the users. This is why Windows 10 was introduced in the market in 2015.

While Windows 10 attained impressive popularity, Windows 7 is still being used widely. Microsoft had ended the mainstream support for Windows 7 back in 2015. However, it has now decided that time to conclude the journey of Windows 7 has arrived which is why they will soon be putting the final nail in the coffin. Free security patches for the operating system would seize to exist for Windows 7, effective from January 2020.

The end of the journey
Microsoft indeed puts an end to its support of the older OS. However, this does not imply that the OS would not be operating. However, once Microsoft withdraws its support, your computer will be at increased security risks. You will not be offered any feature updates or any security.

Users will still be able to install Windows 7 and activate it after the end of support. However, they will have to endure the risk of their system crashing down owing to viruses and other security risks.

Furthermore, internet explorer will no longer be supported on Windows 7 devices from January 2020 onwards. This is because internet explorer is a part of the same support system.

There are quite a few Windows embedded 7 users as well which have different support systems. The earliest the support will end is 14th January 2020 and others will follow suit. Thus, it is clear that from January 2020 onwards; any traces of Windows 7 will be removed from Microsoft.

A fresh option
You can expect your work to be done without the assistance of Windows. However, you do not have to worry. You can upgrade to Windows 10 with ease. There is an option of upgrading pcs which are compatible with Windows 7 to Windows 10. However, you would not be able to acquire full benefits and use the hardware properties Windows 10 is provided within this case. It will be a good idea to opt for a new PC if you want to acquire optimal effectiveness.

This change was necessary due to the evolution of pcs. Computer pcs are now a whole lot lighter, not to mention faster. They have also become affordable. Thus, you will not have to face a lot of difficulty in opting for a new device with Windows 10 installed in it.

Windows 10 has been developed keeping the business needs in mind. It is equipped with high-level security and is capable of providing you with optimal productivity. You will be able to get a lot more done with the features that form part of Windows 10.
